THE MOUNT INN SPECIALS BOARD
 
We UPDATE our Specials board on a DAILY BASIS, the following are a few EXAMPLES OF DISHES that have appeared recently:
 
STARTERS
 
Pan seared scallops served on cauliflower puree with a thickened jus £6.95
Smoked haddock chowder with crusty bread £7
Local asparagus topped with a free-range poached egg & accompanied by hollandaise £6.00

Pan seared local New Meadow Farm rump steak served with onion rings & mushrooms  £17
Beef  suet pudding topped with an oyster fritter and served with a rich thyme jus £12.50
Whole Cornish plaice lightly breaded & stuffed with a parsley butter and served with a prawn and white mushroom sauce  £15
Duck Pudding:  Confit duck & wild mushrooms encased in bread and served with a rich jus £14
Loch Duart Salmon and asaparagus Pie: Salmon and asparagus in a white wine shallot fish cream & topped with parsley mash £14

In addition to the main menu we also have a selection of baguettes available at lunchtimes & a 'Specials Board' which changes daily. This includes seasonal game & fresh fish.
Whilst we do not have a children's menu, we are able to adapt most dishes to suit.
